When The DeadBolt Breaks – “Angels are weeping…God Has Abandoned”

Author

When The Deadbolt Breaks is a one of those bands who like to innovate, explore and test new things on their music, without losing their identity and their sound. “Angels are weeping…God Has Abandoned” is exactly this. This is an experimental doom metal album that you definitely gonna love, especially the fans of this genre. Enriched with atmospheric black elements and sludge influences, even with this gothic metal style coming from the past of Paradise Lost. As you understand, it’s dark, depressing and extreme at the same time. The black metal influences give to the songs a more aggressive and fast tempo, in opposition to the slow and calm doom metal parts. The melodic parts will probably make you cry and the groovy parts will move your head for sure. Their production is great, without being modern and plastic. The songs are very long, around 10-13 minutes each, but you’ll never feel exhausted and bored, because of the alternations they have. If you are fans of this genre, you HAVE to listen to this album. If you are not, you have to become, because this album is something that you will definitely love.
