After two years from their last release Sludgehammer are back with new and furious material. For those who don’t know, Sludgehammer is a Canadian band formed in 2013 and they managed to get very encouraging feedback since their first steps with the release of a demo. With the success of the demo and a year after, the band hired producer Christian Anderson for their 2014 release. It was “Organ Harvester” that gained new fans and better shows, gathering serious momentum and solid name across the metal community. However after a few shows of “Organ Harvester” material, it was obvious that the fans were hungry for more metal from these guys. The band begun writing more songs and here we are with a monstrous album “The Fallen Sun”.

“The Fallen Sun” is a fresh, groove and aggressive album that encapsulates a lot of elements of traditional, thrash, death, modern and progressive metal while it creates something unique yet familiar. An amazing guitar writing with hooky riffing and blazing solos matched with the heaviness and intensity was greatly appealing. At the part of vocals we can see the elevation of clean and brutal going to higher standards. Drumming is powerfull and groovy and makes your head bang all the time! With the very first notes of “Demons From The Woodwork” you feel the energy; till the third track you feel the progressive emotions and until the end with “Revolting” which blows your mind! Check this album and  also watch their new video for the song “Carrion Eater”.
