DIABLO BLVD – ZERO HOUR
Diablo Blvd is a relatively new band from Belgium. During the previous years they have managed to become well known in their home country with 3 releases in “their luggage”. The Belgians have managed to gain a lot of attention by conquering the charts and the reward that they were looking for, finally came!
Of course i am talking about their collaboration with the big record label Nuclear Blast for the release of the fourth record called “Zero Hour”!
“Zero Hour” seals their first international contract with the big company. Diablo Blvd have already achieved to promote their work and their name through concerts with big bands such as Machine Head, Epica, Queenshryche and others.
The album contains 11 tracks that will instantly show you the quality of the band! Musically perhaps the word that characterizes them most is “groovy”, accompanied by a modern metal tone. The thing that they do best as Diablo Blvd is to combine their influences from classic metal with more modern touches and very clean production. The album generously offers several riffs that can be “catchy” and definitely “stylish”.
I have a long time to be completely satisfied with a disc that is followed by this cliché characterization like … “modern” but I suggest you to give them a chance without any fear, especially if you are looking for something in the alternative and “groovy” corner of metal.
